-1967 Consecutive Unit Production Numbers

The consecutive unit number is the last six digits of the truck VIN. Each assembly plant producing trucks used the same sequence noted below, resulting in more than one truck having the same consecutive unit number. The preceding assembly plant code assures that no two trucks have exactly the same VIN, even if the series code and engine code are the same.

- 100001 to 205000
- 205001 to 325000
- 325001 to 445000
- 445001 to 580000
- 580001 to 731999
- 732000 to 913999
- A00000 to B49999
The consecutive unit number ranges noted above are the only way to positively determine the year of a 1961 through 1967 Ford truck (including Bronco and Econoline) by analyzing its VIN. There is no year code in the VIN.  Later years through 1980 followed the same pattern, using consecutive letter/number patterns.
